What is the Best Way to Motivate Portsmouth Footballers?

Well I can tell you that it’s to make them drive home in a rubbish car!

In a brilliant article, it is revealed why making our spoilt footballers drive home from the office (pitch) in a crappy car is the ultimate punishment.

The Portsmouth goalkeeper, David James, has been photographed leaving training in a rusty blue three-wheeler, a punishment introduced by the management for the worst player in that day’s session.

Good ‘eh! The pain of having to leave his precious bentley at the training ground would be enough to motivate any premiership footballer.

The Guardian suggest that the money-shot will be when Portsmouth defender Peter Crouch is sent home in a three wheeler - given his comparison to Only Fools and Horses’ Rodney it would be quite brilliant. But I am waiting for the thrill of seeing Jermain Defoe in a rusty old banger, that really would be worth waiting for!
